The job is done. The team will be heading to Wembley.
It wasn't as straight forward as Blackburn but yea, it still feels soooo damn good.
First things first, Hull goalkeeper Myhill. Time wasting tactics was his undoing. And twice in a row he decides to crash into his own player, only the first, Bendtner screwed up yet another shot. I hate time wasters. This shits can go to hell. And they always get bitten in the butt.
Bendtner. His persistence led to the equaliser. I think his physical presence up front really makes a difference in the league. He's getting better even though his shots are either blocked or well wide but he's trying. If he didn't come on I don't think we could have had this turnaround.
Eboue was hoping to snatch someone else's goal again when Bendtner had a shot saved by Myhill. He was all ready to stab in the rebound but didn't manage to. Hah. He came on for Walcott who was kept pretty quiet throughout.
Hull rode their luck for a while. They came to the Emirates with the belief that they could come away with a win the same way in September. Then their stroke of luck came soon enough courtesy of Johan Djourou. As a defender, if you plan on committing to the challenge, it's important to be 100% committed. Don't just stick out a stray leg which then gets punished with a deflection. In all honesty, I think Fabianski had it covered because it did look like a shot straight at the keeper. Nonetheless, that early goal gave Hull the cushion to start their negative tactics + time wasting.
Like that ever works. Did no one tell them that the Arsenal bombardment increases with time? Did no alarm bells ring when two fresh attackers took the pitch? Guess not. We were going for the win and that made the difference. Besides, Hull suffered tired legs. Can't ever play like that against a sublime Arsenal.
Not that we were fantastic. I could say we won ugly but who cares. Arshavin got another assist. He cooly laid the ball for Van Persie to smash home. Robin knew just where the goal was. Captain Robin 1 Hull 1.
The winning goal was kinda scrappy but I really can't tell if the ball came off Myhill's arm or Djourou's head. Whatever it is, good for Gallas to put the ball into the back of the net. Another crucial goal from him. He's been dry as of late.
That's it for now. I think Phil Brown is an idiot. At least in front of the camera when Hull 'scores' and he misses either the whistle or the flag. Ha ha ha. I bet he'll be whining after the match about being robbed yada yada whatever. After beating Arsenal there was talk about European qualification and I look at the table now and laugh my fuckin ass off.
P.S. Manucho look better the last game at Hull after he crashed into Djourou and got a larger face. I almost didn't recognise him today.

He knew that the first goal wasn't his. But the second sure was. And finally, we got a picture of his goal celebration - with the tongue. It was a sublime finish and the goal was all his. He managed to get past Danny Simpson and then beat Paul Robinson. Fantastic. We needed that second goal for stability and he delivered when most needed.
Walcott showed how much we missed him. Just a minute into the game and he was getting the better of Warnock and getting in behind the Blackburn defence. On a day where Liverpool scored 4 against Man Utd, we managed to score 4 too, and even if it's against Blackburn, I think we're all happy beyond words.
There are 2 players most under fire and they're Bendtner and Eboue. Bendtner manged to score against West Brom. Eboue sealed the win with our third goal. This time around, Bendtner had a whole host of chances to up his goal tally to at least match Adebayor's but he made the wrong choice time and time again. I suppose credit to him for getting into those positions. When you manage a win like this you'll forgive him for not scoring. Sadly. Then there's Eboue, who has been a total klutz all season long and he got a brace. Unbelievable. He probably showed Bendtner how to poke the ball in instead of missing by a yard. And for all the team's troubles in Rome the other night, he didn't get to take a penalty since he was subbed off. He showed that he could put one away any day this time.
Tonight's a night of many penalties. At least for the two games I watched. 2 for the MU-Pool game and one for us. I think Liverpool was riding high on confidence and didn't do a boro, like how they managed to lose after beating Real Madrid. I told my cousin that Pool will do the double over United and I stuck around for the game to see if I jinxed them and I didn't. Bwaha. Honestly, I couldn't care less who won but I hate the brother and how he thinks MU are the best team in the world. Hate his guts. And he hates Pool as much as Rooney, another player who shouldn't talk too much. He's in a horrible mood now and is hungry and has walloped the tuna bread meant for breakfast. Is very funneh coz he ripped off the plastic hahaha. Little did I realise how much I hate the devils and it's so damn good to be gloating now. They were truly embarrassed at Old Trafford.
I probably jinxed Van Der Sar ahaha. After the high scoring Roma penalties I was comparing goalies and how VDS was more solid at that. Then he failed to save one and went on to concede 3 more goals. I appreciate Almunia a whole lot more. And with my comparision of him and mad Jens, we sure hope he doesn't become mad Jens with his talking down to Diouf for that foul, which was highly remiscent of Taylor's foul on Dudu which broke his foot. The replays were shocking and I think we were worried. The good thing was that Almunia continued comfortably and went on to put in an assured performance in goal. Shit that Diouf. That foul may well have warranted a sending off.
A scoring Eboue is a big welcome. It could signify a new deal signed and him staying on which we all can't really tell if it's a good thing now. I suppose he's still learning and could improve further but I don't think we have a lot of patience with that. Walcott's back so he'll probably have more cameos then starts and if he could score some goals every now and then without much incident, we should be contented with that.
The team's gearing up for the season's climax and it's a good thing. By the end of the international break we'll have Fab back too. Adebayor as well but if he's going to be a lazy slowpoke I'd rather he just leave. And also stop with the flirting with clubs. I don't see how he can walk into Milan or Barca and become first choice. Titi's at Barca and him and Adebayor are world's apart.
We've temporarily leapfrogged Villa to 4th on goal difference with them facing Sp*rs at home. I'm thinking of Sp*rs will throw the game just to spite us lol. We'll see. Villa doesn't boast the best home record so fingers crossed they'll drop all 3 points.
Lastly, I think Denilson and Song are forming a good partnership. They exchanged passes pretty well for Denilson to get the ball to Arshavin for his goal.
And I really want to see the look on Arshavin's face when Eboue stole his goal ahahah. His back was to the camera! We did the job without Van Persie. Blackburn was hoping for some jetlag from Rome but they sure didn't have that with them. The players finally managed to build on European success and injected that into the league.
We can all be happy with our win. Pool did their double against United, and we did ours against Blackburn with both games ending 4-0.
That's 8 goals past Paul Robinson. :DLabels: Arshavin, Bendtner, Blackburn, Eboue, Liverpool, Man Utd
A Little Drunken Madness @ 12:57 AM
It's 6.40am and I may well just start preparing for work, as with those who caught the game.
First thing's first, we always knew that those missed chances in the first leg would come back to haunt us. On the 9th minute, it did, thanks to some slack defending. What a way to concede.
Wenger said before the game that Arsenal will attack. Uh-huh I say. I can't recall any clear cut chances. There weren't even missed chances seriously. It was like he fielded the exact team which loved the 4 goalless draws in a row to get a draw in Rome. Well, a draw would have sent us through without all the hassle of extra time + penalties but SRSLY, gosh. If we thought the team would be more purposeful playing in Europe I guess we've all just been proven wrong.
Eboue for all his troubles and attempts at redemption, was silent throughout. Either he was intimidated by the size of Roma or he didn't want to get involved in any incidents which might just send his crowd meter back to -832740738490. Maybe I should be thankful that for a lack of incidents rather than something similar to Sp*rs.
I suppose after some thought I can understand why Wenger played Robin and Nicky. Roma are huge. But the midgets of Arsenal who are full of craft can wrongfoot a giant and cause all sorts of problems. Vela could be one of them after his fantastic performance midweek. But sometimes, all these don't really matter since we're through anyway, right?
It's just those nerve wrecking moments we all had to go through. And how we knew very well that had chances in the first leg not been missed, we wouldn't be put into such a situation. It's like painful.
Then there's Totti. I used to love him, dating back to World Cup days. Now he's an absolute twat. Ass. He owned Denilson through dirty means. 180+30 minutes of dirtiness. I believe him, as the bloody captain, would take on the responsibility of carrying the team on his shoulders etc etc etc. But he's such a cunt. If I never have to watch him play again my world would be merrier.
It's a good thing we're through. And the team can watch Manuel Almunia's time in goal during the shootout and be more motivated to win the damn game in normal time. He is absolutely attrocious. The only consolation is that Doni is too. ManUre have Edwin Van der Sar who owns penaties. He has won trophies on penalties. When was the last fucking time anyone ever had a 7-6 shootout? It's times like these you know you miss Mad Jens. Before the dude even steps up to take the kick he puts them off in every way possible e.g. dispute that ball not on the spot, shouting at the player, shouting at own player etc etc etc. And I guess that works. Except that I think Almunia tried to put of one Julio Baptista and it didn't work. Fancy facing 2 different beasts in consecutive games. (Burnley's keeper is also nicknamed the beast) Also, he totally screwed up that chance which would most certainly put Roma through. Like when Eboue comes on during a nil-nil to try and change the game to a win, I know with my entire being that it's a freakin lost cause. When Baptista came on I knew we would win somehow.
But of course, we didn't in normal time plus extra time. So I guess he his made it remain status quo the same way Eboue does. They're in the same league.
Dudu didn't take his penalty as well and it's not something we expected from him since he totally has the calmness to stay cool. But it's ok, the rest of the lads showed composure and converted it all till one of Roma's lost it. Comments on BBC thinks Max Tonetto could be the name of the next super ice cream. Is conetto Italian? I only know they're all made in Malaysia.
Attention shifts to the league now. Martin O'Neil took this opportunity to bring his Villa team for a R & R plus training in Dubai. So now they're heated up by the sun for the season's run-in. I suppose he didn't learn from Moscow where they threw the game in favour of the league and then managed to throw away a 2-0 lead in the last 4 minutes and then getting owned by Man City. Look at Arsenal when players are rested. Nasri was bollocks. Denilson as usual. Van Persie just wasn't creating. Bendtner was back to normal. Normal being bad.
So. resting players can be a bad horrible thing. I hope it's a bad horrible thing for Villa. Blackburn beat Fulham and we face them next. Fulham like owned us in the nil-nil game and then they got creamed by fucking Man Utd in the FA Cup and now Blackburn too. People up their game against Arsenal but Arsenal do not always up their game at all.
Arsenal is supposed to be exciting and the players knew what to do on the counter attacks. The final balls into the final third were supposed to be quality. Now it's all rubbish and I only have one word: lacklustre. I guess Arshavin does bring a different dimension to the team but he's freakin cup-tied. Without him the team went back to normal i.e. cannot score, except that this time the defence went back to being sloppy.
Goodness gracious.
I thought the learning curve could apply. It's upward sloping LAH. When will the fans stop being disappointed? I suppose for now most of us are just thankful to be through. Whatever lies ahead doesn't sound like great fun though. The funny thing is, there isn't any Italian team in the last 8 and 50% of the teams are English. Septic Blatter will have much to say.
P.S. I wish all travelling fans safety from vicious Roma fans.Labels: Almunia, Aston Villa, Eboue, Roma

On a night when...
EBOUE SCORES.
Song was on song.
Vela and Eduardo did the cheeky cheeky.
Arshavin got another 90 minutes and another assist.
...and many other things.
It's just happy happy happy. With Walcott and Eduardo featuring, the two dudes out injured. When players come back from injury it's a cause for celebration. And dudu is just fantastic. He is such a natural finisher. I love his left foot.
Before the game Mr Owen Coyle and co. were talking up their own team's ability to whack Arsenal since they did it earlier in the Carling Cup. Somehow, when the game is at the Emirates, they probably lost their chance to get anything but creamed.
Song was outstanding. He went forward and was whipping in cross after cross and he got 2 assists. This fellow needs to start being consistent because he's capable. On days when he shakes off the attitude he's fantastic. He needs to keep it up. And it was nice to not see Denilson anywhere even though he has been a hardworking servant all this while. His sideways passing really pisses the hell out of me.
I think there isn't much to say other than to enjoy the win and hopefully take the game to Roma. Cicinho will miss the clash, so will De Rossi, with the latter due to suspension. They are a quality side but I'm sure us at our best can beat anybody.
Eboue has taken another step towards redemption so he should try no to blow it or try anything funny.
Lastly, Drogba scares me.Labels: Eboue, Eduardo, FA Cup, Roma

How do I possibly start my day right when I flip open BBC Sport and find out that Sp*rs won?
And we're struggling to win. I'll take an 86th-minute header by a centre back any day.
And it's even more painful to think/possibly know that the Roma tie tonight could be our last Champion's league involvement if we fail to beat them after both legs and then lose 4th spot.
Everyone (Wenger and all) are speaking confidently about securing 4th place but SRSLY? Wanna know what I think?
It's all Wenger and his own ball game when he talks up the squad everytime they're bad. How are they supposed to learn from criticism? And how's telling someone they're damn good when they're just like, um, bad?
So only Diaby has returned for the Roma game. Earlier on there was a slight glimmer of hope that Walcott passes his scan before the game and makes the game or so. Think that's quite unlikely to happen, otherwise we'll have news by now. It's like the players who really feel for the club are all injured, with Rosicky scheduled to be back before Cesc but requiring 2 months of competitive football to return to full form. So where does that leave us? He'll be himself in May. That looks like the end of the season doesn't it? So maybe we can all rejoice at our new signing in May.
I refer to the most dui ever phrase Wenger has said about those coming back from injuries: They'll be like new signings.
I almost smashed my computer on reading that one.
On to Roma, we all hope that this squad is like preparing heart and soul for this match so much so that it was okay to draw with Sunderland and the previous 2 games. So maybe they'll make it all up by trashing Roma. Ha-Ha. Wenger says that one win can change our season and from last season's experiences, I don't think it'll help. His theories seem to be going all wrong. Like we beat AC Milan and we fans expected some sort of revival and moving on from there but it didn't happen and we still continued on the road to squander the damn title. The truth is, European football and the league are different. And I'm positively sure that it has different mental effects on the players. If they do perform lightning well tonight we'll all know why. If they don't, then I'll have nothing to say. It's just one disappointment after another and I don't know how much more my heart can take.
Like if I saw Eboue starting tonight I might just turn off the TV and go to bed instead.
I think I just condemned myself to not watching the game.
Anyway, the other game taking place tonight is kinda more exciting. It's Inter vs United and Mourinho vs SAF and SRSLY, they've started their mind games and it's fantastic. This is what we've been missing. The special one really spices things up for all of us. He went to Italy and owned them. So their game is like a top of the table clash between European giants. How many times do we ever have that kind of billing for a game?
This Arsenal squad is capable of better. They just need to get their attitude right. And I really hate Song and Eboue. There is only one word associated with Alex Song and it's 'lazy' while Eboue has only vulgarities to his name.
When in hell have I hated any of our players that much? Eboue used to make me laugh with his antics. Instead of being mad, it's better to laugh at what is expected. But now he has crossed the damn line and he really doesn't deserve to play. He's been testing all of our patience for a long long time.
So enjoy the game tonight. Try to be positive.Labels: Alex Ferguson, Alex Song, Arsene Wenger, Eboue, Jose Mourinho, Roma, Sp*rs

I took about maybe one day to try and post objectively. Or maybe I'm just lazy. Or just super no mood to do another post about another nil nil draw.
It's funny you know. After last season's slip up you would think of Arsenal being draw specialists.
Then this season they started losing and then you thought they shook off that image for the worse, and hopefully less draws and wins to make up for the losses. Statistically, it's better to lose 1 game and win 1 than to draw both.
Then came this apparent unbeaten run. It's crap really. I fuckin hate it. I don't know what is 7 draws out of 10 games. That's bullshit. It's horrific. It's fuckin terrible. I don't feel good at all about being unbeaten. Gosh. That's 14 points lost.
So. I hate Alex Song. I fuckin hate Eboue. These 2 players should just fuck the hell off. First up, Song. I'll never see him as a fan favourite. He doesn't do interviews and no one is interested in his personal life. I don't see if he feels for this Arsenal team. Most of the time his expression is just blank. What the fuck is he thinking or feeling I don't know. You put Ramsey on and you'll see his drive and passion. Equally young, in fact, younger, but you can see the contrast. Song is just a fucker who should just fuck off. Defensive midfielder my ass. He doesn't do any mopping and his positioning is way off. Like when the defence clears the ball into midfield it doesn't go to our midfielder but the other team's midfield. How the fuck to retain possession like that? I'm not talking about counter attacking even.
Then there's the passing. Like fuck. Pass sideways. Then backwards. From Denilson to Song, then back to denilson. The ball distribution is like fuckin gross. Side to side, then back. Not fucking in front where the ball is supposed to be in the damn net to give up the damn 3 points.
Sideways.
Backwards.
Good fuckin positions but not good in football. Not good for our football. Like bloody hell damnit.
And then Eboue. Gross. Nothing more to say about that dumbfuck. He doesn't deserve the shirt. Putting him on and hoping he changes the game? He came on and I thought we'd either draw or lose to a late goal.
Now then what we naturally do is look to the next game. Roma. Wow. Seriously. No Arshavin. And then the rest is rubbish. Eboue will start. 100% guarantee.
This is what I call a nightmarish season. Sorry for the vulgarities. If I had posted earlier it would be unreadable.Labels: Alex Song, Eboue

Okay!
I have no idea if I want to do this again. I just feel like something's missing. Basically this place has various records of things that were meant to be forgotten but things never happen the way we want it right?
JUST LIKE HOW WE JUST DREW WITH SP*RS AGAIN.
No thanks to Eboue. I suppose I can thank him for injecting fire into my fingers.
Alright. I do have another outlet. We have a swanky Gunnergirls Livejournal community and I'm a moderator on it. It's kinda fun over there with all the fan girl craziness yet it's so amazing that girls actually have brawn when it comes to a man's game. It is just that it wouldn't be nice if I did up a post which read:
KILL EBOUE BEFORE HE FEATURES IN ANOTHER GAME
..even if it is totally called for. We try and act civilised. Whereas, on my own blogger space, I can do anything I want. Apologies for the comments feature not being available. I am no good at html so I messed it by the last time.
If I do really make some kind of comeback, I probably would like revamp the blog. Adventures with new crazy camera (awesome actually) has provided better graphics. Not football related though. Heh. Could do a double function blog for my photo nonsense, otherwise everyday's post will be about 101 methods of killing Eboue. And Howard Webb. This, from the back issue of Liverpool vs Arsenal.
And maybe, just maybe, I'll do a picture post of my Korea trip in December. It was awesome. Awesomely cold. So awesome I'm planning another trip there in autumn.
In other news, really really bad news, Sims 3 has delayed it's launch from 16 Feb 09 to 2 Jun 09. THE HORROR!
[EDIT//]I'm done away will all the older posts. It untidy. And I messed up all the tags too. Hah.Labels: Eboue, random rants, Sp*rs
