Arsha could have made a difference with an old head
I was saving this till perhaps the 29th of May when Arshavin turns 28 and I turn 22 but I guess I need to do it now because I'm in dire need of cheering up and I have to do it myself.

The reasons are simple - I haven't let anyone into my life and I intend to stay that way. Besides, being independent has its perks. I have thus developed a dislike for smsing which has pissed a few people off when I ignore my phone to do my own things at my own convenience. Yeah I joined the irritating bunch everyone hates. But sometimes it's because I'm in the shower. Ahaha. What are the odds.

So. I don't have a pic of Arsha in the stands last night but the camera did show for like 1 second. He was sitting next to Eduardo with his hoodie all up. He looka-lika snowman.

Must be painful for him to sit out those games. Must be really painful for us when he has to sit out those games. He is now officially one of the older heads around and attitude wise, he's been perfect. The way he blends into the team is fantastic and everyone loves him. Must make the rest disappointed to not have him in the team as well.

I don't know if there exists an Arshavin effect on the team where when he doesn't play, the team looks out of sorts. If I had to pin point one thing which went wrong last night, it was the formation. We beg and wail for a 4-4-2 which provides more defensive cover as with attacking threat. We depend deeply on our wide players and what better than a 4-4-2 rather than forcing the ball through the middle and failing terribly. So the lost game aside, I don't know if the team reacts differently when their star player isn't playing. It's like there is this dependence on him even when he's not there.

To me, Arshavin is kinda like a dream. He came, as a superstar signing where the negative asses of the world expected him to lose his mojo after his move to Arsenal. He is so good Liverpool fans hate him. Hah. It's funny. Kinda like C. Ronaldo, except that Ronaldo's easier to hate and he has the face of a jerk and basically free falls into every challenge like he doesn't possess something called a centre of gravity. So perhaps, Arsha's only hated by stinkin pool fans after his 4 goal haul against them.

Why he is like a dream is because to me, he feels like a player who came here on borrowed time, i.e., on loan. That would explain why he's cup-tied for the Champion's League just like Jo is cup-tied for the FA Cup. The only difference is, Arsha's not on borrowed time. He isn't a loanee. He belongs to Arsenal.

Come next season he will feature in all competitions. I thought about this semi-final before and everyone's gutted that he can't play. I thought about Arsenal winning the Champion's League without him. It didn't feel good and if that gotten the better of me and influenced the result somehow by the cosmic waves I sent out to the world, then srsly, screw me. The lads, with their young heads and all, made it to Europe's top 4. Who would want them not to go all the way?

So there's always next season to look forward to and our season is over on the 6th of May. Last year it was much earlier. They were chasing ghosts a long time back. This could be considered progress.

It'll be interesting how the summer shapes up then. We all know Wenger will stick to his youngsters. They'll all be one year older and I'm not sure he would go out and sign an experienced player. In fact, I think he won't. His footballing principles are that solid. A pity his belief hasn't translated into the results we want.

If Adebayor goes I wouldn't be gutted at all. His commitment to the club as of late is rock bottom. I'd rather Bendtner be given more chances or Theo moving to be more central than someone who couldn't care less in the team. He compares Milan with beyonce but forgets that Beyonce is married. It's a bad analogy in that sense, since married people are supposed to have everything they need already, save for those who indulge in infidelity.

The future always looks brighter but I don't know how the rest of the team sees it. Wenger can be their father or something but in the end, a footballer's career is rather short and they need to make the right decisions to move forward. I'm not sure if we could argue about this season being a step forward from last season. The last campaign we were doing so well all right up till the end. This season the boys reached Europe's top 4. And if I had to draw simlarities we seem to be knocked out when luck favours the other team. In the Liverpool quarter finals the little bitch Ryan Babel dived like a pussy and got the penalty which killed us. In this last game our 19-year old defender slipped, followed by our keeper who should have done better.

So yeah, I'll let Arshavin cheer me up. He's not a loanee. He'll be a permanent fixture next season. He's going to make more people hate him. :D
