same old story, but I can't change the book
it sure is tough to be a fan in times like these, watching your team getting fucked by Barcelona and then by the likes of sp*rs.

we all know that things like these shouldn't be happening to a top team like arsenal, but they have. what remains now is to close the book on the 'same old fucking story' and move forward. we were on the ascend 2 seasons ago when we almost won the league. and then we lost flamini and wenger's trust in his players, in addition to his frugal transfer policy, simply meant that departing players weren't properly replaced.

and that story continued, while he gave his players time to decide when it was to actually step up and be counted. one of the beneficiaries of that was Alex song. happened in a timely fashion as well, when we really needed him. what remained, was a decent enough back up. when injuries occur, a lack of players to do a decent job simply means taking a step forward just to take several fucking steps back.

what needs to be done in the summer is plain and simple. bring in decent cover. we definitely need a striker and a centre back. I can't see wenger replacing almunia but he really has to. almunia is worst than all of the keepers in the top 8 teams. everton have Tim Howard, villa have brad fredriel, city have what given, so on and so forth. you get my point. almunia just isn't top class.

wenger has always been known for his ruthlessness in the transfer market and he needs to do the same for his squad - rid all the deadwood. reliance on youth isn't a bad thing, but complete and blind reliance is. you look at denilson, and it's really fucking difficult to think any more than him being cover for any of the midfield positions. will his name always be first on the teamsheet? can't see that happening. even Aaron ramsey was making strides ahead of him and could have made a difference had that fucking shawcross not been such a retarded Fuck face. put simply, just not good enough to even be called upon when needed, even less on a regular basis and he's had arguably the most chances to make it in the first team as compared to the others.

peter hill-wood has came out several times to state that Wenger has the funds to spend. the boss simply chooses not to. he's going to assess the squad's capacity to win things before committing his future. he kinda has some part to play in that and if he is the cause of arsenal's lack of competitiveness at the highest level on all fronts, then how is he the one who's to make that 'informed' decision?

all I want now is the club to take the experience of this season in good stride and move forward. we need at least 3 top players to really put up a better fight.
