Flappy makes Almunia look like a goalkeeping GOD
HURHUR.

I always thought Wigan was going to be trouble, but I definitely didn't think it would pan out this way. I thought it was going to be down to their crappy pitch, but credit to them - their pitch was playable today (as compared to last season).

I think there are a lot of gooners out there who don't deserve to call themselves fans. All the Wenger bashing is really unnecessary. Before this game, he already stated that he knows the problems with this squad and will be setting out to fix it. Stating the problem doesn't fix it immediately in the next game. He is still the man to take Arsenal forward.

We should take heart that 'flappy' Fabianski didn't put in the performance of a lifetime. In his statement about the GK situation, the tone of it probably implied that he wanted to give Flappy a chance at least, to be number 1. If this didn't happen today, it won't be more obvious that even our backup keeper just isn't up to it. Now, instead of planning for a signing with Fabianski at the back of his mind, he can go all out and get that top class keeper we desperately need.

Only if, he doesn't do just that, can the Wenger bashing be justified.

Don't really want to comment on the game. The title is over, nothing more to play for anyway. There's no point in being angry. It's not as though this situation is something new and not known. We know the problems, and they don't magically disappear.

I just need to say that Diaby was horribly casual today, and he could have given more protection to Fabianski. He didn't bother marking Watson for the first, and didn't jump for the corner for the second. Really expected more from him but in the end, I guess we do need midfield reinforcements too.

Better now than next season really.
