I know why I am emotionless with respects to last night's game. The score should have been 4-0 but it is 1-0 so it is in fact, a very good thing considering the circumstances. I just can't be happy since it is still a loss, and their goal was a result of poor defending and nothing of whatever attacking quality Ferguson speaks of.
Who is by they way, starting his mind games shit or it is just natural for him. I think his comments were funny though, with respects to the game at the weekend. United have to beat Boro to keep their lead over Liverpool. We play Portsmouth, and frankly, if we manage to rest our key players and throw the game, it might not matter. So Fergie says:
"Arsenal's big advantage is that they can play Pat Rice at right-back and Arsene himself at centre-forward on Saturday"
And it's kinda funny. The good thing is that Wenger isn't fat or anything like Benitez and is rather fit. He definitely would not say the same for benitez. How many times have you came across Wenger with the ball in training? Many many. Centre forward? No problemo. He might even be better than Adebayor, that useless piece of shit. He comes out to say he wants trophies, wants to end Arsenal's drought, wants to end his own drought and whatever nonsense his big mouth can spout. At the end of the day, when you put in that kind of shitty performance with no desire and commitment, all these things you've said before comes back to bite you in the ass. SO. I wonder what he's going to say now. Had a late night with Beyonce? She knocked his balls out?
Dudu came on yesterday at the 83rd minute or so and I think it is quite evident that when you play Eduardo you need a 4-4-2 simply because the centre backs tend to look at least a head taller. But when you have a lazy Adebayor instead, I'll have dudu any day.
I really miss the damn 4-4-2 formation. I really hate 4-5-1. It only work when Adebayor decides he wants to play. And then Cesc in the advanced attacking role is just wrong. He is not the fastest and the most powerful. He is a passer of the ball with fantastic vision to see the runs of his team mates before anyone does. That kind of quality we should use from deep to kick start the attack.
Diaby should never be in the team.
Now we all miss Robin. And Gallas. Gibbs has been doing so well we don't miss Clichy. Last night though, I did miss a little bit of Eboue. Do you know how well loved he is in the team? Because he is the funny man. Anyway. He links up better with Theo than Sagna does because he does possess that little bit more of attacking instinct. Even if he doesn't dive, he is capable of drawing fouls and is skillful on the ball. On the other hand, Sagna is more defensively sound and you would want that if you're marking the likes of Rooney.
Gallas getting injured like that probably cost us the most. The defence was having the time of their lives until somewhere out there, a higher being decided that Arsene Wenger can never have an almost full squad at his disposal to pick off his opponents. THAT REALLY SUCKS.
Now we await the return of Robin and hopefully, we can play a 4-4-2 in the return leg. Robin and stupid Adebayor up front, Nasri and Walcott flanking, Song and Fabregas in midfield. Even if Robin doesn't come back, play Eduardo please. And since Dudu links up soo well with Bendtner, I'd bench stinkin Adebayor and ship him off in the summer. Him and all this AC Milan talk makes me want to slap him. Drawing media attention to yourself is one thing. Doing what you say is a whole completely different story and people get pissed when you're shit. Asswipe.
I hate it when our attack is toothless and our defence is rubbish. Admitedly they defended better in the second half, but the attack still remained toothless. It should be quite evident what is missing - a good midfield. Midfield is where defence converts to attack and when you don't have your best player there it creates all sorts of problems e.g. zero goals at Old Trafford.
Now we need to win the game at Emirates by at least 2 goals regardless of whether United scores. They'll be employing Chelsea's favourite tactics (besides defending) of sitting in their own half and counter attacking when they get the ball and frankly, United are most capable of taking their chances that way.
If anyone wants to compare semi final 1 to semi final 2, there isn't much actually. I thought that they were both equally boring besides me having emotional connections to one of the teams. That's about it. Arsenal never rose to play their game and we didn't see what we were all expecting. That makes disappointment turn to anger because we believe in these players and even though they're young and lacking in experience, as long as they have the desire and commitment no one can fault them.
Did they?
Not enough. Not freakin enough.
The emotions are all surfacing and they're that of anger. Throw nutella at Adebayor. Skin Diaby. If we had 11 performing players and 2 are shit, the result is shit. Football requires all 11 to be at the top of their game. I hate Diaby and I don't see a point of him. Had he partnered Song in front of the defence, he would have been losing the ball in more crucial areas i.e. in our own half and that could have been more trouble.
Shithead.
